As part of Brenda’s birthday, you funded mosquito nets that were donated to a tent village in Goprajpad, a remote tent village with 150 families (average 5 children per family). Between my initial visit and all the nets donated for my birthday, we provided a total of 293 nets.

The people work either as rag pickers (who sort through garbage looking for anything useful) or as farm laborers, earning very little money. The village has a few latrines that drain straight into an open trench at the side of the road.

The residents have been suffering from mosquito bites at night and many have contracted Malaria or Dengue Fever. Each mosquito net will protect one double-sized bed. Typically, mutiple people share each bed.
