The school has 300 students in grades 9-12 with 15 dedicated teaching staff. The national science curriculum is taught to all students but the students cannot compete to go on to higher education because they do not have any practical science experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-envira-envira-gallery\">[envira-gallery id=&#8217;399&#8242;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:21px\">Now that Nepal is starting to open up again the work on the lab has begun. The walls have been refinished and painted, the lab bench tops have been framed and poured, and the sinks and plumbing supplies have been purchased ready for installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-envira-envira-gallery\">[envira-gallery id=&#8217;1217&#8242;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:21px\">Making good progress. The tiles have been added to the floor and walls and the marble surfaces have been added to the lab benches. The sinks have now been installed too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-envira-envira-gallery\">[envira-gallery id=&#8217;1434&#8242;]<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:21px\">The building work on the lab has now been completed and the supplies will be purchased in January when the students come back to school. Science teacher, Ms. Prativa, wants the students to be involved in getting the supplies. The students are going to be blown away when they see the transformation from a rundown classroom to a modern science lab!! This will make SUCH a difference to the educational opportunities of the students at the school! University has not been an option for even the best students because their science courses couldn&#8217;t offer lab experience. This has now changed.
