$140 will provide a Maasai girl and her family with a solar light and 14 books so she and her siblings can read and study at home. This is particularly important right now because the schools are closed due to the pandemic.

  • Maasai mud homes are dark with only 1 small window and no power.
  • Books are chosen by teachers from the Mara Girls Leadership School.
  • Each set includes a study guide for the entire curriculum and easy readers for learning to read in English and Kiswahili.
  • The rugged lanterns support all manner of family activity.
