• The area is often plagued by drought.
• The community covers 1/3 the cost and pays it forward so for every 3 tanks installed, a 4th one is funded.
• The tanks improve crop production, reduce water borne illnesses and time spent fetching water from the river.
• Each tank holds 3,000 liters of water and will be supplemented by local trips to the river.
