Project Description

TGUP, in partnership with Seeds of Learning, will build a 16’ x 10’ steel canapy to act as a community baking center. The canopy will have a roof of zinc sheets and a cement floor, which will support a traditional 6.5’ x 6.5’ kiln. This will be used by women in the community to bake traditional baked treats, both for their own families as well as to sell. We expect this to be a source of income for women to help support their families.
