TGUP, working with its Kenyan partner, funded the installation of 6 pit latrines for students at the Shining Star primary school in rural Nyeri county. The existing 3 latrines were at risk of collapse and led to girls skipping school during their menstrual cycle. All 269 students currently shared the 3 latrines in the above photo.
