TGUP refurbished its 14th birthing center in Nepal. This one is located in the Bhojpur district. These centers are reducing mothers and babies dying by close to 95%. The nearest emergency facility is 6 hours by car and most residents do not have access to a vehicle. The project included rebuilding and painting walls impacted by the earthquake; replacing the roof, doors, and windows; new ceiling and floors; and creating designated spaces for Labor & Delivery and Recovery.
