The Bunga village school and community learning center was dilapidated, falling down, and unable to be used. The 3,000 families in the area live in single-room bamboo huts with dirt floors and are almost 100% illiterate. Since the rebuild, students in grades one to six now attend school and the adults have classes on an evening.
