This program provided funding for 120 Maasai Traditional Birth Attendants (TBA) to be trained in providing safe births. The multi-day sessions included training by a nurse/mid-wife educator. Each TBA was also given a safe birthing kit to bring home and is expected to attend at least 2 births per month in their villages.
