Project # 292 of
642
We provided deworming medication to 3,000 children in the Loibor-Siret region of Tanzania. Schistosomiasis, or “snail fever,” afflicts 250 million people annually, causing anemia, malnutrition, stunting, and impaired intellectual development. It comes from drinking infected freshwater and is common in areas with poor sanitation.
