The existing girls' toilets were dilapidated, unsafe, & insufficient for the 508 girls & staff. This negatively affected school attendance, hygiene, & learning. This project funded a new 8-stall pit latrine building for the girls. This is a very impoverished community where most of the families live on less than $1 per day.
