$100 will pay for a smoke-reducing stove for a Maasai family. The stoves are built by local Maasai and installed by women, their first paying job ever.
The stoves remove 90% of the dangerous smoke from a Maasai home where cooking is typically done over an open flame. Many children suffer from the smoke from the open flames – some are burned, some have chronic lung problems, and some die.
