The existing health post at Chaturale is in poor condition and is not equipped to deal with the expected 100 pregnancies in the area.

Once the existing health post has been upgraded to a full birthing center and midwives trained and employed, the center will provide basic preventive and emergency care. This will include pre-natal care with safe motherhood education and a trained midwife to deal with complications at birth. It will all be provided in a clean, warm, safe, well-equipped birthing environment, with appropriate post-natal care.
