This project will build two new classrooms and provide furniture for the Monte Carmelo School in Peten, Guatemala. The 87 children in preschool to 6th currently share classrooms in one building, as seen below. After hearing of TGUP’s support, the local mayor has agreed to bring in electricity and build flushing toilets for the school.
