Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Region 16 is building a classroom for the Kanjuu Mixed Day Secondary School in Ngariama, Kenya. This is part of The Global Uplift Project’s 6C Initiative where Clusters of Clubs Collaborate to Create Catalytic Change. Thank you Region 16, all of your clubs, and all of your members. The world is a better place because of you!
The school currently has 5 classrooms, all in need of repair, for the 140 students. There are many more students that would like to attend but the Ministry of Education has limited enrollment due to the crumbling facilities.
The new classroom will consist of stone walls, a poured concrete floor and 5 iron-grate glazed windows. The roof will be made of durable iron sheets. The classroom is expected to provide an education to 1000’s of students over its lifetime.
