The existing kitchen for the Las Ruinas School is so run down that it is no longer usable. One of the two public elementary schools in the community, they are in urgent need of a kitchen to prepare food for the 198 students and 14 staff who receive government support providing one meal and one snack daily.

This project will construct a new 23′ x 20′ kitchen and supply it with all the equipment needed to provide sanitary and safe food for the students and staff. The equipment that will be installed includes a new industrial stove to replace the one seen in the photo below, a refrigerator, microwave oven, water dispenser, coffee maker, and other kitchen necessities.
