The first project created and installed 100 closed stoves for cooking and warmth. More than 95% of smoke and carbon monoxide is vented through the engineered stove and chimney. This will save time since less wood is needed for these efficient stoves, and improve the health and well-being of the entire family.
This second phase will install 60 additional smoke-reducing stoves. The fireboxes have arrived and the brick-making machine is in the process of making bricks.
We have also supplied two pairs of gloves to each installer because the mortar has been hurting their hands.
The installers have trained three more women to join their crew. In case someone is sick or needing to care for family members, these new women will step up to take their place.
