The Global Vision Boarding School, in Lamjung, Nepal, has 500 students from Preschool – 12th grade, with the school population being made up of students from a mix of castes including Dalit (untouchables), Brahmin, Janajati, and Chhetri.
They had a large dirt field where the children could run for play and exercise, but no playground equipment. The school and local people helped with the cost, and your donation, in Tom’s memory, provided the rest of the funding. You enabled our Nepalese partner (the Little Sisters Fund) to install 3 slides, 4 swings and 3 seesaws.
It is well known that children who are allowed to play are healthier and perform better in school.
We know that Tom cared about all children – thank you donating, in his memory, to make the world a better place for these children, and for the hundreds who will follow and benefit from the playground!
