The Ministry of Health had threatened to shut down the Mwiyogo Primary School in Kenya because of the deplorable condition of the latrines. Below, you see the three different latrine buildings for the 327 students and 12 staff. No good options…..

So, in December of 2022, TGUP funded a new latrine that contained 4 pit stalls and one urinal. This was to be shared by all the staff and students.

Now, TGUP will fund a second latrine building that will be exclusively for the girls to use. The new latrines will look similar to the one in the photo above.
