TGUP, working with one of its Kenyan partners, OliveSeed Foundation, will fund a library for the Maasai Mara all-boys high school in Aitong, Kenya.
This project is a collaborative effort between multiple Bay Area Rotary Clubs: Woodside Rotary funded the build-out of an existing room; Walnut Creek Rotary funded the books. The result is the finest library for hundreds of miles around.
The school is expected to double enrollment in the next few years but does not have any library. These boys come from one of the most rural regions of the world and are extremely motivated to integrate to modern society. They would like to continue on to university levels studies – which is impossible without a library.
Thank you to Walnut Creek Rotary and its members for making this possible. The world is a better place because of you.
