TGUP’s Save a Girl ™ Project provides washable sanitary supplies to teenage girls in the developing world. The kits cost $6 to produce, but are free to the girls. Without such supplies, the girls cannot manage their monthly menstrual cycles. They drop out of school, instantly becoming second class citizens. In worst cases, they are sold as child brides or sex slaves. These kits provide one of the most cost-effective liberations of human potential on the planet.
The kits are made at TGUP sewing centers in Nepal, Kenya, Tanzania, Cameroon, and Uganda.
Your donations have allowed 1,000 girls in Kenya and 167 girls in Nepal to stay in school. Below you will see some of the recipients of your generosity.
