“Decrepit” is too kind a word to describe the former kitchen at the Kanjuu Secondary School in Kenya. Yet, the mid-day meal is sometimes the only meal many students receive.

The new kitchen is 30’ x 15’ and has two rooms: one for cooking, and one for supplies. The building sits on a cement foundation with windows and grills for ventilation. Locking steel doors provide access.

The community contributed $2,200 in labor to keep the cost down. Thank you to Stockdale High School for its help funding the new kitchen. The world is a better place because of you!
