Bomaka Primary School, located in the Southwest region of Cameroon, has 498 students. The school’s old latrines were full and abandoned. This project built a new block of latrines: 5 stalls and one urinal to be shared by all students and staff.

This project was unique because:

  • It saved the school from being shut down.
  • The community contributed $1,000 worth of labor to dig the pit, which is 16 feet deep.
  • Over its expected life it will help more than 5,000 children have a better education.
