The old latrine pit was full so children end up going to nearby farms and streams. This negatively affected hygiene, sanitation, and teaching. It made it particularly difficult for girls to attend school during menstruation.

The environment smelled and was polluted as students defecated around the school campus. This project built a new 4 stall gender neutral latrine for the 544 students and 10 staff at Presbyterian Secondary School in Cameroon. Thank you, Susie Buckley!
